Believe it or not this was my first real “portrait” styled shoot ever. I found a friend and a model that I had met through an acquaintance and got us all together for a photoshoot at a local studio. The idea was to try and create some stylized images that I had been inspired to shoot by checking out some work by Art Streiber. I wanted to take a mix of window light and strobes to create some different, interesting images and push myself to try some lighting setups I had never shot before.
I will be the first to admit that the editing is a little heavy handed by today’s standard, but it was retouched back in 2014 and the lighting and shooting styles are things I still apply today. Take a look at the five different lighting setups included in this course, ranging from window light to balanced ambient/strobes, and full studio lighting with multiple models and my first ever 3 light setup.
